Parents aspirations and Apprehensions  are eating in to the happy and healthy growth of today’s children observed K.K.Gupta.  Former Regional Academic Head of Tarapur Atomic Energy Central Schools.

Speaking to The Asian Age, Mr. Gupta said the present day society is plagued by a crave for materialistic comfort and a life devoid of any principle.

Alarmed by the present situation in the education sector. Mr Gupta launched a nation-wide movement for spreading the tips of positive parenting, effective teaching and counseling for children.

With this mission the noted educationist is now on a tour of North East visiting various schools to tie chords between teacher-children and parent-children through a series of lectures.

Talking to this correspondent after such a lecture in south Point School here on Saturday, Mr Gupta said:”The most alarming part of their (parent-children) story is that the parents do not have time for their children.

Three Cs-care, concern and consideration the most important ingredients for better upbringing of children are completely missing, creating a distance between the two, which virtually impedes the progress of children and youths” he said.

In his lecture, Mr.Gupta said parents who wish their children to grow properly and do something worthwhile should “stay married”, meaning the attachment between the couple must continue, failing which, he warned that there would be complete disintegration of the family leading to chaos and confusion all around.

He said that for better growth of children, parents must have a harmonious co-existence.

He also suggested that parents should discipline their children early because of the simple reason that once they are off the track, bringing them back to the track becomes extremely difficult.

“They should be taught to learn the power of love and the love for power and parents should know what their children are up to,” observed the noted educationist.
